Small Chair

Small chair start.

This delightful small chair had seen better days and had sentimental value to the client. The fabric covered pads were worn and faded, the legs loose and wobbling with the cross rail broken and disconnected.

The seat and back splat pads were removed. The seat pad actually sat within a small depression, while the back was simply applied to the surface.

Small chair stripped.

The marks from the upholstery were carefully removed. The legs were eased free and the joints cleaned up. The broken rail was repaired and stained to match before the whole set of legs were glued back in place. The whole frame was cleaned up, polished and buffed to a pleasing sheen.

Small chair Complete.

The seat and back pads were replaced and then covered in the new fabric. A hand wound cord was the finishing touch, the ends carefully hidden from view.
