Cushions

Examples of loose cushions.

These examples of Loose Cushions include a pair of Shaped Cushions for a seat and two cushions for an outdoor seat. The cushions from the G-Plan Chair Pair and the cushion from the Vintage Armchair – demonstrate some of the possible applications. Typically they are foam filled with boxed sides. See the Loose Cushions page for more examples and details of how they are made.

Examples of Tie-on Cushions

Closely related are Attached Cushions. Most often these are Tie-on Cushions used for kitchen and dining room chairs. Another example, the Bench Cushions, are held on with Velcro straps. These examples with details of construction can be found on the Attached Cushions page.

Throw Cushion examples.

The third group are Throw cushions. They can be made to match or complement fabric covered furniture. They can also be made from tapestries and needlework of sentimental value, fabric placemats from holidays, small but attractive pieces of reclaimed fabrics and more – keeping the items on show and not locked away out of sight. Many examples and details of construction can be found on the Throw Cushions page.

Curtains and Blinds

Window dressings are critical in all rooms to complement the other furnishings as well as providing privacy. A window at night absorbs light from a room, a curtain reflects the light.

The starting place are curtains – lined or interlined with all sorts of headings – tapes or hand stitched. Roman blinds can be an alternative or an addition to the curtains – with standard, blackout or thermal lining.

Pelmets hide the heading and top of the window frame. Soft fabric and solid box pelmets can be shaped to add interest to a window. Box pelmets also block light above the window. Curtain returns can block light to the side of the window.

Curtain tiebacks hold the open curtain in place.

If you wish to place an order for any of these items please contact JBerryUpholstery saying what your interest is.

Stools, Storage and Headboards

New footstools can be made to complement a rooms decor or match restored antique and modern chairs. They can be made using the same or complementary fabric, trims and finishes.

Stools can be made in a wide ranges of sizes and heights, with your choice of legs and finishes.

Large Upholstered Coffee Table stools, for example, serve as both a table and additional seating.

Striped Ottoman

For all new items, choose the size to fit your space and a height that best suits you.

Toy Box.

Ottomans and Toy boxes are excellent storage solutions and, with padded top, also provide seating.

See Green and Striped Ottomans and also Toy Boxes – fabric covered to match or complement other room furnishings.

Headboards can be made to your design – style, size, fabric, fittings.
